Introduction
David's Sling (“David's Sling”, “we”, “our” or “us”) provides David's Sling, a financial-intelligence platform that tracks public-company dilution, filings, liquidity and deal terms and sends alerts about them. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the website and web application (the “Services”), how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
a. Information you provide
- Registration information: name, e-mail address, password (stored only as a salted hash), and the name of your workspace.
- Sign-in with Google: the name, e-mail address and account identifier Google shares with us. We never receive your Google password.
- Billing information: handled by Stripe. We store Stripe's customer and subscription identifiers, your plan and its status — never card numbers.
- Content you add: the companies you track, deal documents, notes, contacts, integration credentials (encrypted at rest) and the feedback you send us.
b. Information collected automatically
- Device and browser information, and the IP address of each request.
- Usage data such as pages visited and actions taken, kept in an audit log so your workspace admins can see who changed what.
- Cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and a preference cookie for your theme. We do not use advertising cookies.
c. Information from third parties
We receive payment status from Stripe and, if you connect them, data from the integrations you authorise (for example a CRM or mailbox connector).
How we use your information
- To provide, operate and improve the Services, including the alerts you subscribe to.
- To process payments and manage your plan.
- To send account, security and billing messages — a confirmation link, a password reset, a failed-payment notice.
- To respond to support requests and feedback.
- To detect fraud, abuse and misuse of the Services.
We may aggregate or de-identify information for analysis. We do not sell personal information and we do not use your content to train AI models.
AI processing
Some features — filing summaries, the company brief, the assistant — send the relevant filing text, your notes or your question to an AI model provider to produce an answer. Only what is needed for that request is sent, and the provider is contractually barred from using it for anything else.
How we share your information
- Service providers: hosting, database, e-mail delivery, payment processing (Stripe), AI model providers and error monitoring, each bound to use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Your workspace: members of your workspace see the companies, documents, notes and activity within it.
- Legal authorities: when required by law or a valid legal request.
- Successors: in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you.
Data security and retention
Connections are encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and integration credentials are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access. We keep your information for as long as your account exists and for a reasonable period after, as needed to comply with law, resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
Your rights and choices
- Access and correct your data from Settings.
- Ask us to delete your account and its data.
- Object to or restrict certain uses, and withdraw consent where processing is based on it.
- Turn e-mail alerts and digests off in Settings at any time.
Children's privacy
The Services are not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
International transfers
Data is stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate, with safeguards appropriate to the law that applies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes are announced in the Services or by e-mail, and continued use after the notice means you accept them.
